Officially, now.

I flew from Miami to Kansas City last wednesday. Same as before, it took two flights, one stop in Atlanta, the other at our destination. I lugged over my computer, clothes, supplies. Essentially, my life was packed into four suitcases, including a couple of carry ons and a back pack.
Life is pretty quiet right now. I can't help but feel overwhelmingly socially awkward. I suffer waves of humiliation (with out any particular reason) every time I walk into our crowded dining space. And today--this was fantastic--I walked into the middle of a junior Creative Writing class. It isn't all shit, though. I spend time with my room mate and a few small groups occasionally, I thoroughly enjoy my T1 speed internet connection and like walking around the campus. I've also already completed my first Art assignment and I think it looks alright.
Speaking of which, my studio arts teacher, Whitacre, has actually already earned my respect. I can tell he knows what he's doing. He's a brilliant man, well spoken, grounded in reality (unlike most art school teachers) and has set an environment fully conducive to varying art forms, techniques, etc. In short, I think I'll do well in his class.
Anyway, I really miss home. I suffered an unfamiliar ache when I settled into my dorm and couldn't help but shed a few tears when my mother and Andrew left.

It's always so nice to hear those kinds of things from you. I miss you and home so much. Thank you.
